K, understood.

What about the in-game important messages? Good Idea? People like us forget that the vast majority of the players and future players aren't going to be reading every post in the forums like us.

It's not a bad idea per se, but the time involved in making it happen is greater than you think. There are systems in the game that are very broken, or still quite incomplete and we want to fix those, not spend valuable time, resources, and money trying to accommodate those too lazy to read the patch notes in the Announcements section.

Future players will have less to worry about as the systems will be more polished and there will be a much more extensive tutorial.

This sounds exactly like a bug or crash based on the new animations that you were talking about. Maybe it's worth giving her a break if the new animal crashed her client or bugged out.

2nd, how hard would it be to give away really, really important patch notes to everyone via the in-game mail system. Like you could put down. Wishpooshes can kill you. There are now Witches so watch out for curses. You can cure curses with the priest at the church in Providence. Important stuff like that is kind of hard to dig out of the forums sometimes.

I hope your character wasn't 2 high. Good Luck. It's easier the second time around.

shut up ft

Perhaps an update to the "lumberwoods" thing. When you first enter the lumberwoods you get a warning about bile drain. Maybe on it there should also be a warning that monsters there can kill you permanently and so you should only engage them if you knwo what you're doing.

People would still do it of course, but then we can all just say, "it's in the help" and end the conversation.

I was thinking about the same thing today and came to the same conclusion. I think it's only fair, really. That way people wouldn't be able to reasonably complain because they had fair warning about it.

Really Embie come on. Why don't you learn how to hunt then you will have no issues with the beast. It is a refreshing change to battle a beast that can kill you. Stop being such a care bear.

Are you guys serious? If you just read the forums you would know how dangerous these beasts are. Part of Salem is keeping up with the forums but then again maybe you can't read.

How about a message letting players know that there has been a patch. Not all players read the forums. Some players have limited time and prefer to play the game when they do, not read through 200 Dallane posts.

The fact that they can kill you is the fun part, i'm scared as hell every time i kill one but that makes it exciting.

The issue with this attitude is that you don't have to read Dallane's posts or anyone else's. Just check the Announcement thread for Patch notes, and periodically check for mini updates on the end of the original patch notes. That's not difficult to do when you can either scroll to the end of the main patch post once a day or search John's posts once a day for the updates, he doesn't post that often. And even if you do end up reading all his posts, most of them have important game information anyway.
