Removed a large derail to Hinnom and a political discussion to HoB, please try to keep on subject in Announcements.

This was not about politics but about the imbalance of the new system of witchcraft.

I think the problem is that the accusers showed a giant lack of understanding of witch craft mechanics. I don't know much, as I'm not a witch. But I know that the price of witchcraft can be costly. I actually do know two witches, but they're far to scared to use any of their new powers because JC warned them repeatedly that messing with the dark arts could very well cost them heavily. Not to mention how only about 1% of the server is willing to throw summonable scents around willy nilly. So maybe once more is understood about this very complex mechanic then we can talk about balance.

/end derail

Its really unfortunate they are unwilling to test the skill. A bit of a waste.

JC apparently gave a very frightening speech. And for hermits losing a toon is a big deal since you'll have to relearn all those skills/regain biles without the help of a village. Also they don't know if the skill is passed on to the heir or not yet. It was implied awhile back but not known yet. So they don't want to lose the witchcraft skill permanently with a little misstep. Not to mention of course that they have the skill on alts, so their pp is crummy which JC also said causes your magic to work differently. Because hermits don't like to lose/risk mains for very good reasons.

I was there for the conversation. I found nothing scary.

They need to find a new game because at some point they will lose a character.
