Reclaim old account (Paradox forum)?

Is it possible to reclaim a forum account I had way back then when I playing and Salem was still published by Paradox?
I've taken 2 years of a break, was burned out after our small village got raided a couple times and all except me killed and not motivated to start over, but now I'm back and I'm still fond of my forum/char name. But it says my account is not connected to an email address (which is weird, I still have the emails from back then registration) and I can't recall my password from back then ...

It is not (Paradox even shut their authentication service down a while ago), but why would you even want to? What would be the difference from just creating a new account? :)
