If she is voted guilty I demand a wager by battle*! If her champion is victorious then she is innocent, if the prosecutor's champion is victorious then she is guilty.

*Or trial by combat, both of which were common law at the time, since it was never addressed by a U.S. court it still is common law today, technically at least because england did not abolish it until 1819, and so common law for the thirteen colonies stayed the same.
