Salem on OS X?

Postby Puavo » Fri Oct 31, 2014 5:45 pm

I didn't find any recent discussion about this, so I have to ask... Is it possible to run Salem on OS X?

I gave it a try and managed to start the installer, but I get a message saying "To view this web content, you need to install the Java Runtime Environment." I have Java 8 Update 25 installed.

Make sure that you have Java enabled in the browser. If it is not, then Java Web Start will not work. http://java.com/en/download/help/disable_browser.xml

There have been issues with Apple and Java in the past. Verify that Java is installed properly https://www.java.com/verify/ If not, uninstall Java and reinstall. I'm not familiar enough with Mac support to go beyond this, sorry.
