Pretty and witty, I'm guessing.

Also, congrats!

Spoil the kid rotten. Every child should have at least one relative that does.

Congrats, but I don't completely agree with Meow on spoiling them, that's Grandparent territory. Instead you get to be the 'Cool' relative, you get to tell the nephew/niece dirty jokes (btw which kind is it and we want a NAME too), take them out to R rated movies (or maybe Broadway musicals if that's more your style) and other things that grandparents can't do.

bye them a nerf gun as soon as they are able to pull the cocking mechanism back, they will love you forever. I was amazed at how good a shot my 3.5 year old niece was (shes the youngest of 3), but I was more amazed that she could pull the spring back that far.

Congrats! It's a lot more fun when they aren't your own. Trust me.

and...

Well, you say you won't be bringing home "grand babies", but there's always adoption. Not sure how old you are (or rather can't remember, as seems like you mentioned it before), but life changes, and gay or not, there's a drive to raise a child in most people.

I've considered it a lot (I'm 24) but I've never been motivated towards having a kid until I'm more stable, not traveling, ect and finish my education all that jazz.

One of the benefits of being gay--not coming home from work one day and hearing your girlfriend say "I'm pregnant." That really changes your world.
