Problem with tiered fields.

Postby Procne » Mon Oct 27, 2014 8:36 am

This is how influence bars looked before harvest: Image
Field had corn planted. When harvested I received 26 white corn and 26 blue corn. No yellow corn. Something is not right.

Also, before corn, there was cabbage planted on those fields. It yielded only colewort with a single curious cabbage. All 4 fields game single curious cabbage (no other green cabbage heads)

Gold corn comes from cabbage-cotton field, not cabbage-cereals.

Corn needs bar 1 and 3. 125% should yield all white and blue corn with no yellow corn.
Cab needs bar 3 and 4 and with it below 50% you should get all colwort.

Ok, I wasn't clear enough. My problem isn't the fact I didn't get gold corn. It's that I got the same amount of blue and white corn, and no yellow corn. Even though blue bar is very low, much lower than red one.

Oh, ok. I thought that 'yellow' is how you called the golden corn.
Still, nothing wrong with cabbage. It takes influence from 3rd and 4th bars.
It seems that your crop took a part from every of more or less filled bars. Since each of them has an effect on maize, you got something like 100t2+75t2+25t3, resulting with no t1 crops. I'm stupid.

And the cabbage issue was that from 4 fields I got exactly 1 curious cabbage and no green cabbage heads. At that time blue bar was 30% - is that enough to start getting green cabbage? If yes, is it coincidence that each of the 4 fields received the rare cabbage?

Everything is alright with your fields.

if the total influence is between 0% and 50% the field produces all tier 1 products.
if the total influence is between 50% and 100% the field produces both tier 1 and tier 2 products.
if the total influence is between 100% and 150% the field produces tier 2 products.
if the total influence is between 150% and 200%, the field produces both tier 2 and tier 3 products.

I too have reported an issue with how the mix of T2 ingredients is calculated when your bars add up to between 100 and 150. With cotton, no matter what ratios the bars have , you somehow end up getting more indian than egyptian cotton. So I'm not quite sure how it does the math to calculate the ratios of products. Could use some looking into by the devs, so that we can know what to expect from crops xD
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

Curious cabbage does not need to come from a green cab field, and 30% is too low to get green cab. the reason you got one in every field is likely some oddity with the RNG. I have also noticed that curious cabbage and some other drops tend to come clumped together.
