Need to fix hitbox issues

Postby BigPun » Sat Oct 18, 2014 2:30 pm

So I get bit by a snake after picking up a log, which is fine. . .

BUT. . . what happened next is NOT fine.

I'm running into my claim, but happen to die in the gate and my stuff sprawls across the lawn and I'm unable to pick way over half of it up, and oddly enough, they're my most valuable items (savage charms, arrowheads, shovel, etc).

They're there, but because the fence is too close, I can't pick them up.

There should be some kind of avoidance system where dropped items are 'pushed' away from anything that will prevent someone from picking them up.

As you can see in the image, my shovel isn't even touching the fence, but I can't get to it either way.

For the time being just destroy the fence and rebuild but +1. This should happen with logs as well so they can "Roll" off the wall or whatever haha

It's funny you say that. I tried that and after the 6th hit and still at 0% damage, I gave up because I figured by the time I created enough food to reproduce my phlegm and was able to destroy it, the items would've been gone. :(

I assume higher phlegm will increase destruction speed?

Thank you. I think it's important for them to do this. I am tired of chopping down trees around my perimeter, only to discover I can't get the log. LOL. :)

You can aim where trees will land. The fall which way you are facing on the final swing.

Do want. F&W could affect the chance of it.

Falling trees should do damage but you are ignoring the more unrealistic issue: that we can't pick up objects because they are too close to structures or they fall inside them. This may not be a quick and easy thing to fix but its definitely something that should be looked into.

If it was "quick and easy," I think loftar would have fixed it long ago.

I realize that but I think it still should be looked into.
