Things happening out of the immediate presence of the accused could mean any number of things. Their might be accomplices, as it is well known that Witches often form Covens, or their might be diabolical aid involved.

Or an unrelated coven of witches, a single witch, or diabolical forces working independently of a group or single witch might be responsible.

Why this would be might involve a number of nefarious reasons. Maybe they intend to throw suspicion away from themselves, or some other obscure reason that makes sense only to them.

Virtually the entire populace has seen obviously unnatural activity however, and some of it might be construed as "Witchy". Dancing naked in the night would be, and gathering unusual herbs and unwholesome items with no use in goodly foods, having a cat (devilish animals, to be sure, black or not, full of lustful fornication and murderous spirit and sloth). To be clear, are there any other things divers persons may have observed in relation to the accused?

The second witness had an affair with Lizbeth Maudney, which was seen by witness 1.

He then moaned her name in his sleep, which his wife heard, and so he claimed she was a witch and inserted herself into his dreams. When really he was just thinking about the fun they had in her back garden.

Let's just cut off his genitals for being adulterous, banish Lizbeth for being a homewrecker, and be done with this nonsense.

second this.

I agree I accuse marp tarpton of witchcraft that avatar is UNNATURAL. Some march hares or winged dragon things have nothing on an owl with a penis on its forehead....not to mention his previous post of lecherous gay porn/spanking fetish Lets execute the warlock!

Or maybe she is a good witch, Maybe Marp Tarpton was "abusing" an owl and she witnessed it and being as witches are servants of nature, she felt it was her responsibility nay her duty as a force for the good of nature to punish Marp Tarpton by placing his covered wagon on the owl's forehead. Then the spanky animal lover decides that he wants to get back at her and tie her to the stake..... I swear its marp tarpton folks he is the devil we are looking for.

Voting is open, make sure to pick up your ballot from the post master and then turn it into the NO judge so that the royal crown knows that we do not burn our own for rumors.

This ignores the weird happenings around Providence. Surely you don't believe them to be coincedence?

I shall make my final argument.

What has she done that is so deadly if it is in fact her doing the odd happenings? Bringing forth march hares? Whose meat fills our bellies and whose hides make us rich? Or perhaps using her magic to bring rocks up from the land making it so that we don't have to mine them ourselves?

Oh yes, let us burn her for that.

Need I remind you the reason many of us fled from England was to escape the kings grasp on religion? We came here so that we could worship how, who, and when we want. We can not allow such a thing to happen as this woman being burned for her beliefs in the new world!
