Base Design

Do we know for certain if we are going to have more walls and if so how many? I really don't want to rebuild my base again if possible.

I'm (overly) worried about the sections of our wall that don't have room for a 3rd layer for the brick wall - and thus we must tear the older layers down and replace. I've also heard rumors of walls even stronger than brick - which means another round of wall replacement in space constrained areas.

Jorbtar were on the record for 2 walls after plank.

We are now on the record for 3 at the moment.

Either way, players would be wise to build bases that can facilitate future walls, turrets, etc.

Possibly 2 more types after brick. I would leave space for such.

Walls take splash from walls of the same or greater tier and splash travels 5 tiles. You should probably try reading some of the guides around.

Thank you, I did read guides, the thing is that there are many things to be informed about and very little ingame intel, tooltips etc. plus all these updates that change things all the time, plus that if you do not play with others you have nothing but the forum and wikis.... Its hard to keep up

I hope you're trolling. Like what, Pure iron walls? And after that? Turtle shell walls?

Brickwalls are already near indestructible unless you have super high biles. You also have to take brazier range into account, They barely reach over your 3 wall layers as it is, now.

You're also telling everyone to restart from scratch if they have more compact designs(By moving all the industry into a mine, for example) by either tearing their walls down and replace with better ones or by making a whole new place. That would mean starting with 0 purity fields and coops again, though.

You've forgotten the grind and its pains.

But it is already done. Walls have no soak for the owner. Just tear them down and rebuild them tile by tile.
