I was wondering if somebody could help me to understand what I'm doing wrong here. The current situation is that there is a personal claim near me that I assume is from a player that no longer plays. This is due to the fact that the claim owner has failed to maintain their upkeep payments on the claim.
Now under these circumstances, my understanding is that whilst the claim still appears to be there, it has none of the protection that's otherwise associated with an active claim and as such I've been able to interact with claimed tiles and objects despite having no criminal abilities purchased.
Assuming I'm correct so far then I believe that there's nothing gameplay-wise that inhibits my ability to tear down the fences and pilfer whats inside. In attempting to do this I've hit a wall, literally. Stone hedges on the property seem to take no damage when I attempt to destroy them. I've maintained 73 pleghm for over 80 strikes now and the progress percentage hasn't budged from 0%. According to both available wiki's and their respective articles, I should've seen progress by this point in time.
Is there something that I'm missing out on here? Do I need the waste skill to destroy a fence even on a decayed claim? Have the soak values of stone hedges been buffed to the point that 73 pleghm is no longer high enough to expect to see a result within 80 hits?
I feel like I'm missing something incredibly basic here but I'm drawing a blank as to what that could be, please help me out if you know the answer.
