Chef Gramsey is a Scammer!

Postby Sephorin » Sat Oct 04, 2014 2:33 am

Here's an odd one. I went to buy a bit of sugar from Chef Jordan Gramsey. I clicked the buy button... but nothing happened. "Okay," I thought. "I must have misclicked or something." Tried it again. Still no sugar. "That's weird," I thought. This time I made absolutely sure to click the buy button correctly. Still no sugar.

I tried it a few more times before I realized that my silver was disappearing. This left me with only one conclusion: Chef Gramsey is a scammer. I put my silver in, but he never puts the sugar in!

Actually, I can see the sugar graphic flash in my inventory spot and then disappear. So it appears Chef Gramsey is a master pickpocket. He gives me the sugar and then steals it back before I can blink.

Note that I have bought sugar from Gramsey before without a problem. Perhaps it is because I have only one inventory slot left?

You need 2 inventory spaces for sugar, that might be the issue

Do you think he had to lend you a bag? He gave you the sugar, but you have it all spilled - it is your own fault! ¦]
Try to bring your bag next time.

Hrmm. Okay, I suppose. But shouldn't half of the sugar go in my one inventory slot, and the other half of the sugar go in my hand (like when you pick too many branches)? Or, at the very least, shouldn't half of the sugar go in my one inventory slot, and the other half fall to the ground? Why is it that I cannot use one of my inventory slots in this instance?

I imagine walking into a store and buying two measures of sugar. There's only enough room for one measure of sugar in my backpack, and the salesperson refuses to allow me to carry the second measure of sugar in my hand.... so he takes back all of the sugar and keeps my money. :D

If this is working as intended, then no more needs to be said. But it seems a rather odd feature.
