Nuking homes in Providence

Is this true that homes in Providence can be destroyed, potentially KOing people inside? And that it's an intended mechanic?

Yes.

Players are free to:

A) Alert me if they find a destroyable home and if time permits I'll look into making it immune

B) Destroy the home themselves to save future players from getting caught in a falling over house.

C) Alert somebody inside a home if they see one being destroyed.

D) Not go inside shady looking homes by a Snake oil Salesmen, or any home that isn't theirs for that matter.

Players are not to feel safe at any time in any place in Salem. Nor are they to whine or complain when they falsely assumed they were safe when they were not. I made no attempt to restore Embie her hats when she was KO'd by turkeys in a windmill on the Providence town claim, and see no different precedence to set here.

But making animals attack players in town is not intended?

So does Simon get his gear back? This seems unfair to me.
Embie is my name :P

That is not exactly true. I have made animals attack players in town numerous times. Darwoth killed a player with turkeys, which I considered intended. There is a chance animal aggression in town may once again be a thing. Players should avoid animals they don't want to be KO'd by, in town, or not.

Sorry but that sounds like bullcrap. Like you made an oversight causing a bug and now try to dress it as a feature. It is intended but "players are free to Alert me if they find a destroyable home and if time permits I'll look into making it immune"?
So the animals cannot attack players in town (and you fix that today) so that town may stay a safe place, even though players can easily run from them and generally predict the danger when a bear walks into the town.
But on the other hand having a few homes destructible, even though they weren't before and nobody would suspect they are now, KOing everyone inside is ok? What is the purpose of this mechanic anyway?

How about a warning that suddenly potentially crippling mechanics is introduced in a place that was considered safe?

How many other obscure mechanics, totally unknown to most veteran players, not even speaking about newbies to the game, allowing players to KO others, do you have in store?

What's next? I log tomorrow and it turns out selling savage charms to the NPC has 10% chance of spawning an indian KOing player?

You can get more tears by removing items bought in cash shop 15 minutes after purchase!

...

Because that's what it leads to. Some few players knowing elaborate and obscure ways of KOing others in what is considered safe place using this knowledge to steal cash shop items from unsuspecting noobs

One would think His Majesty would swiftly execute someone foolish enough to lay a finger on his property, seeing as regardless of who built the hovel in question, I'm certain His Majesty would undoubtedly claim it as his own, and seek retribution should his goods be damaged by a common pilgrim.

Please note I'm not in any way suggesting His Majesty would in any way care about the commoner damaged in the event, because he seems to be a bit heartless up on his high horse like that, as Kings usually are. But as any and all films related to ye olden english kings have taught me, if you touch their shhhhtuff ... they will have you hanged by your jigglies in front of everyone to see that their toys are theirs alone.
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

That sounds like fraud. Robbing people by obscure mechanics is completely another matter.
