Come one come all to the Boston spectacular venues

Hunting Arena - players buy tickets to practice hunting animals with animal and ticket prices like
cricket 1s
rabbit 2s
beaver 10s
and so on

This venue is mainly for the beginner players to test their skills but advanced players would want to try their luck with bears and others like monsters. Monster ticket prices may be in real money.

Jackpot Arena - some test your skill event which is a level playing field for all players. Part of the ticket price goes into the jackpot. I don't want to narrow the scope on this event so players, what say you.

Being knocked out in the Arena will have its normal effects but tickets bought with real money may not (up to developers disgression)

I'm sure there are more ideas out there but that's all from me.

I don't see much point in this.

Why would it be any better than hunting animals in the wild?

Some players do not have access to darkness and don't want to relocate for it just to hunt the monsters. The intermediate players wanting to practice hunting these animals could have a go at it in the relative safety of Boston. Also in the wild, you have to come across one first. The arena is on demand. And lastly, what about testing new mystic monsters like hydras which will need teams to take down.

Who, besides you, is demanding it?

Players who do not have access to darkness and want to hunt argopelters should either get off their asses and move to the darkness or give up on argopelters.
Crickets, bunnies, beavers and deer are extremely common.
Bears, while less common, are not hard to find in several biomes.

Hunting monsters is not dangerous. None of them will murder your characters.

Testing new monsters will be done by the devs, and if neccesary select players, on a test server before release. (Most likely, that is.)
Once released monsters will simply be part of the darkness, going by comments the devs have made. Part of the fun is the very risk at hunting them, putting them in an arena would be boring.

This is not a game for players who need their hand held every step of the way.

I agree about going to the darkness. But I hear that being knocked out my the Argopelter lasts about 30 mins and another player who stumbles across you would most likely have the murder option and may use it.

Why should only a select players have access to the new monsters?

What about receiving prizes for defeating difficult new monsters?

My feeling is that the Arenas are a source of entertainment for players visiting Boston

Going to the Darkness is similar in the ways of having sex: It takes two, or more, to tango and no one gives a rat's ass for those who do not get off said ass to do it. Would you like to also start a charity for those complaining that they no longer have sex as well simply because they do not get off their ass?

Right now, the darkness is hardly for a "select" group of players. My argo alt was straight 50's when he first entered the darkness and started killing argopelters. Right now he hasn't even hit 80's because he is doing just fine and I'm too lazy to glutton him. That should be well within reach of anyone. If you choose not to go to darkness, that is a limitation you put on yourself. If you choose not to glutton because you don't like the mechanic, would you ask of the devs to rescale all walls so you can hit through their soak ?

If anything, such is expected to change in the future with the addition of new monsters who WILL be able to murder characters. That might really not be a bad idea, get people used to losing characters from the get-go (i.e. murdering snakes).
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Just to clarify, I ment new monsters as appose to existing monsters. Its risky hunting in darkness but it would be good to have a mechanic to practice in relative safety. Murdering snakes? well poison cures prices will start soaring.
