Cabbages not giving any leafs on split

As the title says, sometimes, for examples, a colewort wont give any items at all... This is like a 15% chance, atleast it feels like that.
Am I going crazy, did I miss something? The other cabbages from the same field will often yield normal amounts.

If your plenty is ever so slightly higher than the number needed for an even amount of full heads of cabbage, it'll give you a head but then calculate wether the fraction of plenty is enough for an actual leaf.

Not sure how much plenty a full head is, but if it were X, then anywhere between INT * X and INT * X + X/6, would be give you one head with no leaves. Funny enough 1/6 is about 16.6666% , so your 15% is pretty accurate
