The penalty is now increased Inspiration cost that grows with each studying, this means Inspiration potion grind can be substituted for diversity/purity of Curios all be it inefficiently. I do not know if that guy accounted for this effect in his math, it makes no sense though to study some items x11 and others only once as the efficiency of that 11th study would be horrible so I doubt it. Personally I find the new system a bit more forgiving of accidental multiple studies, which was needed in the absence of any UI that told you if the penalty would be applied, but I don't like how it has devalued diversity of study and replaced it with a silver heavy sink. Next update is likely to have a UI that shows the increased cost before you study, but it can be verified that is is happening now by just noting how much Inspiration is consumed.

I love the idea of more special items making special inspirationals. It wouldn't work for all things though. Like with the pillow, there are 12 feathers in it so what happens if you only use 10 majestic feathers and 2 normal ones? You still get a normal pillow? Special inspirationals should be limited to the ones where your replacement ingredient only requires a single one of that ingredient.

I don't know if there's a limit or if your 11th use would require 10,240,000 inspiration. Either way, it gets kinda prohibitive even if it goes no higher than 8x, which is only doubling 3 times.

Yes the inspiration cost goes up by 50% each time, this is an additive penalty, and is capped at 300%.

Turns out it takes just 78 null spinning tops to get from 700 t&n to 702. A bit over 600k inspiration xD That's like 2 days of regen per skillup, or less at decent BB levels.

The ones that are really spammable are the ones that are between .4 and .5+ efficiency to begin with since they will still be at between .13 and .17+ efficiency, which is not too bad.

I said 12 because I remembered wrong. I don't think I've ever actually made one. I clearly wasn't talking about a special recipe, but that I think that replacement ingredients have to be of a single ingredient so the majestic pillow wouldn't work as a thing.

It should- the existing example is humble meat pie that count 2shreds in particular if it's from the same beast
