Deer hoof after the brain?

so i've been cutting up deers and i got a deer hoof from the first deer that i took off the sled, i already skinned and took out the brain before i put it on the sled. something changed ? can you get them like stringy sinew now?

*edit. just got another 2 deer hoof from a deer i took of the sled with its brain already removed.
i have viscera's and bits btw

*edit. so i got 5 deer hoof from cutting 10 deers that had their brains removed before putting them on a sled,
all hooves came from deer that i then picked up from the sled and started cutting.
maybe some kind of bug that refreshes the probability to get a hoof when you put them on a sled or something i dunno?

I was able to reproduce this - definitely a bug. I got a hoof after removing two slabs.

Didn't JC say you could get up to four hooves if you got lucky? These all come before the brain? That's not how golden eggs work in March hares.

Works for me too. I've been putting my deer back onto sleds and hooves are coming after some meat has been removed already. Seems to be a bug.

Are these deer you had on sleds before the patch? Alternatively, did you store them before you got viscera and then got the skill?

Just got 8 hoofs from single deer that way

EDIT: Now it is unlimited hoofs from single deer

I checked it with a freshly killed deer while I already had the skill.

hmm I got two once one time, but more often than not I not been getting too many. I thought that was a feature and not a bug. lol. I guess my luck been so bad even with viscerals I was so happy to get two at once.

I've had a couple of my town members report that they have found drops after the brain that should be before the brain when they leave the corpse and come back to it.
