Swamp Water

Postby Rele » Sat Aug 23, 2014 6:56 pm

Hey again pilgrims!

As of now we can not collect water from swamps, so those of us who are not near any rivers can not get water within the safety of your territory. So we are either forced to walk to a river or travel to Boston to get water from the river there. Now I think it would be cool if we could get water the same way we get water from a river, but when we gather water from a swamp we would get "Murky Water" which is unsafe to use/drink on its own. Now to make this water usable you would need to boil it over a fire and wait for it to become just clear water, or purified water. Now this could also be the case with rivers where you would get "Unsafe water" which would also give bad effects and will need to be boiled to become usable.

Another thing with swamps is the ability to level it out or throw dirt on it. This would come in handy when you want to clear an area for a wall but there is a bit of swamp in the way.

Thanks for your responses :)

I agree with the murky water in swamps, but i highly dissaggree with the "unsafe water", because that would just implement another boring thing into the game that everyone would have to do.

Getting water from Marshes is a fine idea but it should just be plain water no better or worse then river/lake water.

But I disagree with Rif, 'unsafe water' is a boring element that NO ONE would do because Boston water would be easier.

I live right at water, but its still faster to tp to boston with 20 buckets and fill up 5 barrels rather than going to a river or lake.

Jup, and wells are so incredibly slow they are rather useless.
If only whole barrels could be filled at once in a well.

Cart, 8 barrels, 10 buckets and a river are the best imo. Now I wonder if you can't fill a complete barrel from a river, and if not... Why !?
Trust your enemies more than your friends. Your enemies will never betray you.
