Since alcohol is a vasodilator, even lower heartrates, if still elevated, would likely make you just die of a heart-attack >.>

Alcohol should decrease fear a small amount but increase the BB drain from fear.

There should be an interesting effect if you use peyote when you have fear.

Gotta be some drawbacks, naturally. I figure if you had too much of it at once your character might also get violently ill or otherwise be weakened by a debuff related to poisoning.
Which is entirely possible since this is a game that's nebulously set in the 1600's, which, give or take, is about when really serious distilled alcohol started being readily available.

It would sort of be a gamble whether or not you thought it was a good idea to glut/use booze as liquid courage, because you could easily make yourself sick or get a nasty debuff. The really strong stuff could also have a use as an ingredient in alchemy.

But yeah, I figure there would be some tradeoff involved in using it, or failing that, a potential hazard.

I can also see the distilled stuff being useful as disinfectant. I reckon some of those mysterious darkness creatures could cause some nasty infected wounds if you don't properly clean any damage they caused. (Debuff that lasts... 10 minutes? If the victim doesn't clean wounds within that time it turns into an infection that causes KO?)

I am here today to suggest that when you kill a bear that is aggroed to you, the fear meter will either go away fully, or go down faster then normal. If this would be to overpowered, maybe the affect of Fear could be lowered to where it wont ko you but your BB could lower your blood due to lack of sanity.

I agree with this really. How afraid of a "dead" bear can you be? I mean, your a friggin bear killer. You killed the damn bear. Of course you are fearful while fighting the bear as he hits you with a roar, but it is kinda game-play preposterous that your still as afraid of a dead carcass as you were of a fighting bear, so I can understand the argument for an augmented mechanic when said bear is dead.

You are still afraid of all the bears, that are about to come charging out of the forest, that the bear roar called.

Agree with the op (posted the same thing myself as a bug last year, because its kind of stupid). But wtf happened to the rest of this post? Alcohol and fearing dead bear carcasses? This is Salem not st petersburg
