The Public Salem voice server is now open!

Whether you be a merchant who wishes to conduct trades in the trade channel or a Town that would like a password protected channel to communicate with then look no further!

Or you can just come on and hang out and get to know the people who love the same niche style of gaming you do. Don't be shy!

Feeling rowdy at the docks? There is a channel for PvP there too!
Disclaimer: Tribe are welcome to come hang out in the lobby/pvp channel - you must make yourself known through your forum name and be verified first. Any attempts at trolling etc will result in an auto IP ban. Your own channel will require a monthly treaty payment in silver.


RULES:

1. If asked for verification of a name - you must immediately forum PM from your main account.
a. YOU MUST send me a PM to "register" your name before your initial use.

2. A mic is required in *most cases. Trolling and spying with "I dont have a mic" accounts will not be tolerated.
* an example would be a town of four, three have mics and they verify their fourth friend wants to be able to listen and type responses in game.

3. Disagreements are bound to happen - It's human nature - but when it degenerates into nothing constructive like name calling - you both will receive a temporary ban to cool off from an admin.

Have you ever actually tried to have your whole village connect to a skype voice session? It's a clusterfck of lag because people are from all over the world and everyone's microphone is constant recording their background noise and everyone is trying to talk at once. It's time to upgrade. Welcome to 2014. Mumble is way less resources on your computer and way less lag. The download is like 5 minutes.

Discretion/Privacy:

Any discretion/privacy you require can be made available to you - Don't want your in game town's name plastered on the channel name? not a problem - once verified just give me a name to use.

Worried that using your in game name/forum name will give out too much information - Once verified - give me a name you would like to use. (Don't forget to tell your friends )

Waste Claim Privileges:

1. If your town is under attack then obviously we are not going to let your opponents (ex: Tribe) log on the server and glean information like who is defending the village right now etc etc. A mayor under attack will receive temporary admin of the server as well as deem who they do not want allowed access.
a. Other examples would be people camping fighters outside your town, or anything currently happening that can lead to imminent loss of life where a town is threatened.

As a formal neutral party with a long standing reputation to not involve myself in politics, I humbly request an Admin spot. ;]

First of all I think this idea is great and I'll definitely join. But I have a disagreement. Since this is Salem's public channel I think it would be plain retarded to talk about waste claiming, tactics and such private matters there. I think there are far more private and better places to do that. If you intend to block every tribe member from there everytime a waste is placed you should just call it rebellion mumble instead of a public one.
