When I read about mains sponsoring the alts just now, all I could thing about was that we'll have our very own hunger games every now and then xD sounds fun, and will give us several iterations of the early game so the devs may tweak it if it seems odd.

Yes. It was very much hunger games inspired. As well as the fact that expeditions should have rare and unique growables, seeds, etc. etc. that will be taken back to providence when the expedition ends. You could think of it as a way to have guaranteed content coming home to providence every so often.

Would you consider leaving some developped content aside to release at the ends of expeditions in the form of "The last winner brought back his pet mutant frog, and released it in the wild, now it's repopulating its species all over the place!" etc etc?

There will definitely be some invasive species stuff. Although there is a pretty big twist on this entire mechanic that makes it pretty interesting in general. I won't spoil it though. Its still probably 9-12 months away.

Soon they will launch a random party former.

The only thing, that is "really obvious" here is the fact, that you are an idiot, since your intelligence capacity was obviously not enough to notice the parallels drawn by me in my last post.
But I'll try to repeat myself in a way, that even you should be able to understand:
It took longer for a lone guy to get the whole industry running before the patch.
And it now takes longer for a lone guy to get all the 100+ skills after the patch.

Will some of those invasive species be diseases? Because a plague could really be fun.

Expeditions will have disease and other generally harsher conditions. We didn't have any intention on bringing all the tears that are being on an expedition home to providence though.

Dayum, a plague? That actually sounds really cool, a global happening like that... People would get Plague masks, everyone holed up in their safehouses.
Noone comes close to eachother, if its contractable trough contact with people and animals...
