Town Level Up, Flags, Achievements

Maybe a system to level up the Town or Bell, for aesthetic reasons or others, mainly with silver and materials(a lot). Similar to how Age of Empires works. When you advance from lets say copper to bronze age in that game, all the town changes in looks. So maybe have different models for each level of town you have. The thing is they would not change automatically, you would have to upgrade them with more materials (many so that it is actually difficult to have a nice city).

Maybe possibly have the ability for people who reached 200+ or 300+ proficiencies to build something that looks again...nicer. Maybe someone with stocks and cultivars 300 could make farms that look nicer.

Flags: Not sure if this is possible but make each town have their flag they can upload and have craft flags and place them on cornerposts with the logo of the Town. Maybe make the mayor be able to craft The logo into a cape.

Dyes maybe?

Achievements:
Kill 100, 1000, 10000 animals or rabbits ¦]
Chop trees, or break rocks.
Forage items with certain level of purity.
Tile exploring count.
etc.

Maybe clothing that can only be worn by people with that level of skill... Hehe

I don't mind achievements or milestones with purely cosmetic rewards... so long as it stays cosmetic.

Start delving into special skills for same... and the next thing you know there's a price tag to avoid the same... and the game goes to Pay to win... and toilets soon after. If it doesn't... one faction will eventually overlord it over everyone... as Tribe did on Plymouth... and it'll be a one faction rule server... even worse than Pay to Win.

The progression is repeated all over the place... if that's really what you want...


(And I'll be happy I have other options than Salem for constructive gaming)

i like this, and i love age of empires, maybe even keep it consistent with what the town mainly focuses on. for towns focused on farming, ivy creeping across all the fences, fighter towns, head on a pike options, hunting towns, taxidermist animals out front..

town flags would be nice.i guess anything that can make a town look more like a town would be nice.
flags, statues, more tiles other than brick/stone, and what not.

I don't think leveling a town should be added. At least not in the way you propose.

I'd rather see such cosmetic changes be added by giving us more options for (cosmetic) buildings etc, so we can hand craft our town to our liking.

The town leveling up should be just to make the town look nicer at the expense of extra silver or materials. It would have no benefit.

I understand, I just prefer a more straightforward system of actually building the thing we want, rather than magical leveling transformations.

Cosmetic items and variations are cool but you don't need to invent item sinks for that... just request cosmetic items and more models to choose from, or more decorations to attach to existing models like those for interior walls.

Then again, if you wanted it all to have an actual use...

..t could be all related to a religious strength system (already mentioned somewhere in I&I). Building statues, shrines, and other "mood affecting" details could have an effect on the town religious "strength". Witches would use the creepy things to increase their influence and would constantly try to "turn" your nice statues into twisted shapes. Natives would build their totems and so on...
