Postby alagar » Wed Aug 06, 2014 2:35 am

Hi, my main computer broke and now i'm trying to launch using a old one, but it don't even open the client or show any crash log. When i enable console, it freezes on "libEGL.dll".

Could you copy-paste the data from the window instead of that screenshot? It's missing important information to solve the problem. (you may need to right click and "select all" and use ctrl+c to copy.)

The library you mention (libEGL.dll) is related to Chrome or Firefox and translates the graphics data from the web so that it can be ran through DirectX. (From http://systemexplorer.net/file-database/file/libegl-dll). Without seeing a bit more, all I can guess is that your browser may be corrupt OR that you need to update Direct X (may be corrupt) OR your video drivers may be out of date or corrupt.

Mind if I ask what video card/graphics chipset is installed in the computer? Salem has had some issues with a few of the older Intel chipsets. I'll have to dig for specifics, but it is the GMA 3xxx and 4xxx models (32-bit Win7 and earlier drivers) if memory serves correctly.

Unfortunately, the extra information isn't anything I recognize from the past. I'm not sure if the devs will be able to provide more information on it. Good job on digging up the error log. It may prove helpful.

I'll see if I can dig more. This is just an initial glace and I'm not finding anything specific on this so far.

After a couple of PM with alagar, the drivers/video card are only supporting OpenGL 1.4, and Salem requires v1.5 or later support. Posting to indicate that the issue is as resolved as possible at this time.

I had a similiear issue not long ago; and the mod guy said he'd look into it...

Are you attempting to use the base client or other?

Make sure you have and/or list all the files (the number) of for the game launch.

For me... Isalem was missing for latikai (this one launches the game)... etc.

hardly the same issue.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
