I want to make a coonscap, where are the coons, I can't find them.

Probably only something you see once in a coon's age.

We know raccoons, or 'coons' once existed in the New World, but sightings along the coast decreased and ceased at about the same time that regular shipments of Pilgrims began to arrive. The first explorers' penchant for making caps from the skins of real racoons lead to a fad of 'coonskin' caps made from the hides of other animals, but no one has seen a real coon in quite some time. Why none were ever found further inland, where conditions seem right for their survival, is a mystery, though a few scraps of reports from original explorers hint at animals much larger and more dangerous than any yet seen.

So you are bassicaly saying we're not going to have 'coons in salem.
