Issue with Dropping stuff

Postby Frakked » Tue Jul 22, 2014 5:22 am

Last few days I've noticed an issue with dropping stuff that I pick up.

Up to now, if my inventory is full... I just click on the ground and whatever I have in my hand drops.

However the last 48 hours I can't do that unless I attempt some action. "Thrust" for instance... that drops the item, but my toon doesn't complete the action... only drops whatever I'm holding.

Dropping from inventory works reliably.

1 in 10 attempts that I can pickup, see tool tip of item, and then drop it without putting it in inventory or attempting some other action.

Unable to replicate. Anybody else having recent issues with dropping things?

I occasionally can't drop stuff from the ender client.

Mostly it fixes by just clicking somewhere else on the screen though, seems to be an issue with the interface registering the click for dropping in some locations. Hard to say if it's custom or default client issues.

I've noticed this before, but it usually goes away after a couple of attempts (and I've not looked into the cause yet).

Some sure-fire solutions I noticed fixed it:
- swap the item with another one in your inventory, swap back and now try to drop again
- click the item on the frame of your inventory window. Indeed, sometimes the drop clicks do not register in the mapview (3D view port) for some reason. This might be similar to you trying to perform an action on your toolbelt or paginaes.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
