think about it. it doesn't take modern electronics or tools to make a trap door or traps to seriously hurt someone. i think a trick gate that appears and closes when someone passes through would be an awesome base defense mechanic. it would actually give walls an entirely different use. meaning more change for the effort. braziers could even add a method of koing someone who isn't attacking your home or you. y fight off an invader if u can ko them with a trap and scalp away? of course i'm not totally heartless so id like to point out they can fast travel home as long as they are willing to drop everything. i said i wasn't heartless, i never said i couldn't be evil lol.

I like this.
Ideally it would be expensive to craft, but it would make people think twice before entering a claim that has the doors open..
Is it a mistake or is it a trap?

Pretty sure spring doors will be in the game the next patch. JC said somewhere that they were making that.

I think omegaburst was talking about building traps in the usual sense, to lure people inside and lock them in while you aren't even around, like the door of a cage-trap. And things that inflict damage like bear-traps.

I wouldn't like it except said traps (any kind of unattended damaging mechanism) were only permitted on town claims.
