It wouldn't be as bad as it sounds...
First of all, if enslaved means that said noob is requested to perform tasks... then a lot of those tasks would involve having skills, so the captors would have to supply inspirationals.
Also consider that if you have a slave worker, you probably want him to be somewhat efficient... so the captors would also provide food to raise humors. And information on how to play the game efficiently too.
My reasoning is that captivity would be a style of play on its own, not even that much different than playing as a member of any other town. If it is implemented so that the restrictions on freedom can be somewhat modulated it could even be a good way to help towns recruit new people.
Another point that comes to mind is that if you get KOed right now you probably end up scalped. The mere fact that the possibility for enslavement (and some way to escape) could constitute an interesting antidote to the permadeath scare-factor.
