Graveyard

Seeing all this new stuff around Providence made me think why not add graveyard?

And charge for a spot! That is how modern graveyards work. That way only important people will have there tombstone with there name and score (like that one for scalping). Upkeep might be monthly or whatever.
Also add crematory that will destroy all those nasty skeletons that lay around Providence and turn them into ash (one would have to have a clay pot for this) that will keep there name and score as well. Also you could just empty the pot into the wind ;)

First I wanted to suggest that ash could be used in potion brewing but that would just lead to more alt killing.

Having bodies no longer destroyable in the last patch was the first step towards this. We like the idea of tombstones, and identifiable skeletons. Your idea of clay pot cremations is pretty awesome too. Its nowhere in specific on our roadmap, but definitely something we would like to jump off to the side and investigate along the way if we get a chance.

Nothing stops you from building a graveyard yourself. We had a rather nice one going back in Roanoke in our town - too bad I don't have any pictures of those anymore :(

You can see it here from a top-down view:

Basically, dig down two points next to eachother, put the skeleton in. Drop a couple of stone boulders on top (due to the big slope, you can have their graphics largely cover the skeleton). A stone hedge as headstone, as well as a signpost for some epitaph if you feel like it.

We kept the honourable members of town as well as the rotten apples we had to murder in that graveyard. Both a place of remembrance and warning.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Have you fixed the bug where people lift a skeleton and log out while standing over shallow water yet?

Good to know, I am sure a lot of people will be satisfied to know that.

I saw something similar. But what I have in mind is something more convenient that will be hosted on Providence claim so everyone can visit and see there character score with there death date.
If devs decide that player can make there own that is cool too.

I'd rather just have the ability to dig a real grave, bury bodies and make nice headstones.
