While I appreciate the praise I would like to once again re-iterate a few things for all of you.

#1: While MM Inc. may "own" Salem. There is still an existing Partnership with SeaTribe.

#2: SeaTribe has been overwhelmingly helpful in their assistance and consultation. Fourth of July for example, ALL MM Inc. associates were unable to debug the problem at hand. It was through the assistance of SeaTribe that your server came back in a timely manner on a holiday.

#3: It has already been mentioned in the thread, but I'm restating it for truth. It is far easier to "fix" something than it is to build it from scratch. The sheer volume of coding we have done and intend to do before launch in no way would match the size of the existing infrastructure and code-base.


I am grateful that we are earning your confidence. As a player of this game, I would be lying to you if I too wasn't skeptical about our previous overlords and wondered how involved I wanted to get with MM Inc. given who it would be partnered/affiliated with going forward. I can promise you that it became abundantly clear that SeaTribe was more than capable, and extremely passionate about the future of Salem and Haven. Just because we didn't see it, and at times couldn't feel it, in no way meant it wasn't there. We still talk with them both more than once a week and their assistance is hugely responsible for how we are able to grow into the code base with what we consider a very rapid transition.

That is a golden idea for the cashshop.

It should be possible to buy a package of tear shaped chocolates and have them sent to other players.
Assuming these players have their address etc listed and probably some toggle to accept gifts.

So far we could not have possibly asked for a better dev. He has just been so great, and i love this game so so much. In 'The Dark Times' before the coming of JC i felt very sad and worried about salem's future. Now that future seems bright and shiney and i'm really happy and optimistic. It means a lot to me, because i really like playing games and salem is by far my favourite game i've ever played. I think he has shown that he can and will continue to deliver on his goal of fullfilling salem's potential as well as being a good and responsible dev who treats everyone fairly.

There, there. I believe I have explained previously how this isn't "our problem". There is no particular inclination on our part to start new things, and if there were I doubt we'd still -- seven years later -- be back working on the same game we first started out with. We've also -- matter'o'fact -- stuck with Salem longer than anyone else involved, and we also intend to continue to do precisely that in our present advisory capacities.

That being said we are, however, nevertheless very excited to see John bring the project a much needed boost of energy, confidence and determination. The first patch alone looks really promising!
