Gifts from the Gods?

I was at my house doing chores when I noticed a bunch of dots on my minimap, like items that had been dropped. I'm the only person with access to my land, and I found no scents at all around my property. I have a Pclaim where the items were located, so it wasn't a container rotting that caused the items(I have noticed that happening on abandoned homesteads). It's very strange since the items were dropped pretty much on my stone hedge there. I was unable to get most of the items, but the ones I got were 3 bell peppers, a sugar cap, and a seaweed. Obviously living in a blackberry forest none of those items makes any sense as natural spawns. Also in the picture you can see a garlic and a fish. Any ideas why I was so strangely blessed by the Gods?

Sounds like someone was trespassing and KOed, dropping all their stuff. Trespassing only leaves one scent where they entered and you sometimes have to leave and come back several times, with tracking turned on, to see it.

Or somebody logged out there a long time ago, You had since settled there, and they logged back in the check things with the new patch and had to drop their stuff as the space was now occupied.

I had forgotten about the possibility of the previous owners, that sounds the most likely, because I found this place abandoned and took it over.
