Meh, it was a good game. One of these years we'll actually have a team. We probably could have beaten a different team besides Belgium easier. To many shots.

Tim Howard broke a World Cup record for most saves in a game with 16.

Having a ****** team unable to prevent this many shots at your goal is not an achievment. It's a good record for the goalie, but it should put the team of said goalie to shame.

exactly :) America had a good goalkeeper, it's only due to his efforts that the game got into extra time.

Although I must admit america pulled off a good last 10 minutes - those were for the edge of our seats!

The american team has definitely made an improvement since the last world cup. They start playing similar to Germany @2006: beautiful, aggressive gameplay. I like that :)

To play aggressively, you have to keep the ball in their half, not yours.

It was a decidedly fun game to watch for us (even towards the end when America was getting the upper hand). The Belgians had a pretty boring group phase, with all three teams going for the full-on defence approach for most of the matches. It may not be the best tactic ever, but at least playing aggressively means the fans are getting the feeling they are looking at a great match, and stuff actually happens.

The only thing good about team US & A was their goalkeeper, else it was 16-1

Better swap the minister of defence with him, he might see the next 2 airplanes coming ;)

Belgians play a similar to the Dutch: first 45-60 minutes very defensive with less running. As soon as the enemy shows signs of exhaustion, they increase the speed and push forward.

Playing aggressively results often in early goals and can mess up the whole strategy of the enemy team. But you have to score the goals to get there ;)

I'm actually surprised america did so well. I see alot more people getting into soccer now. Myself have never really watched it till now. Our goalie is a ***** beast.
