Its just wrong to refer the whole country as Holland simply because Holland just covers 2/12 provinces of The Netherlands.

I know, I know, it's just a common pars pro toto, the same like a lot of people refer to the UK by saying "Britain" or even "England".

Let me see if I remember the rules of soccer....

Well, there are three substitutions allowed in an official FIFA competition, and you may get ejected on spot depending on severity of an infraction, but, yeah, soccer is notorious for drama actors.
It doesn't happen very often in major tournaments though, an open rule-breaking is more common.

2014 world cup is a joke so far. I was hoping to get some easy money off bets, like I always do, but I lost pretty much all of them.

Supposedly a lot a match fixing going on. Not surprising given where the matches are being held.

Can't wait for the Summer Olympics...that will be the real eye-opener!~

I take it that you live outside of the old Holland and thus refuse for historical pride reasons to refer to the whole country as Holland?

Why would anyone call the entire country holland? It's only 2 out of 12 provinces. Has nothing to do with historical pride, more with logic.
