I wasn't questioning the utility of your suggestion; I was just wondering what it is that you were suggesting at all, since your initial post didn't describe at all what functionality you actually suggested should be in the API. I haven't played EVE, so there's no need to be snide.

Judging, then, from your clarification that you want to be able to do IP matching, what you in fact want to do is to abolish anonymity in the game, right?

I'm just musing really, I've lost about 200000000000 towns to backstabs/spies now, including the one you didn't do **** about and just gave me like 2 pieces of the founding fathers clothes set back when my account was stolen from me

It won't work for 100%, but it could be useful. You can do this like google in GA just cover last part of IP address example 10.0.1.x, but send information about OS used by user.

I think I do know :) If I get IP address I can say if it is proxy or not ;)

This point has already been treated at far greater length than I am reasonably duty-bound to do, and the fact that you're still so deliciously butthurt about it that you ignore all that, fuels my need for tears in a very satisfying way.

Arguing the proper level of anonymity in-game is a valid discussion, for sure, but if you think that being able to IP-match the people you interact with is going to help you avoid being buttraided the next time, then I will be sure to load up with barrels to warehouse your future tears.

No. No, you really don't, and you seem to misunderstand it on such a fundamental level that I don't even know where to start correcting you.

Proxies aren't the only problem. I have a dynamic IP.

Where is your god now?
