Don't forget about the really tall skinny mountain. The worst of the three.

They should have just put a massive helm on Hodor and had him pull double duty. He looks scarier than the new guy, who I'm guessing has won a few leather titles in his day.

It's pretty obvious Claeyt never has a clue. He likes to act like he knows what he is talking about but people figure out his **** babbles pretty fast. He just wants to be apart of the conversation is all.

Too many good authors die without ever finishing their prime series... think I'll wait until he actually finishes before I go back to it.

I'm guessing you're one of those who think our devs should only work on Salem as well? He does more than just the one series, you know. :P

I'm thinking of "Wheel of Time" where a 3rd party had to finish

or "Exiles" series by Melanie Rawn

Volume 2 of Exile...Mageborn Traitor was published 1997... volume 3 is still forthcoming... who waits 16 years+ for an author to finish a series?

I gave up a long time ago. Two or three years is the max... if an author can't produce... I don't hold my breath... I move on. There is no excuse...period!

George Martin fits in this category...even if he finally managed to publish a book... I'm not holding my breath until he finishes the series... how many years until the end... a decade? That's BS. He's either incompetent or too high on his success to make the attempt. I won't patronize him with my money or time.

I wager the TV series catches up to his books and has to make up its own story because he can't be bothered to lead it himself. At which point the book series will become ****... as it will likely follow the script of the screen writers not George Martin.

Two cents

edit: didn't read whole thread before posting reply... anyway...

Binks: love that fight poster!

As far as different actors, I hadn't noticed or cared. He's a background character that is meant to conjure up images of the boogeyman. Would have been nice to have more of the stories of Gregor in the series to really get that "fear of God" of the man that the books give, though, but hey, only so much you can do in 13 50 min episodes and contain all the major and minor plot points.

I thought he looked different but I didn't think much of it. Looking back at all three versions now though, the first one was indeed the best.

Hmm, even if I had a good idea for a book, I wouldn't be able to write one. If someone has the talent, training, and ideas to make a wonderful book, I'm not going to question how long it takes and I don't understand people who harp on an author to finish a book or series. It takes them as long as it takes and nagging them about it can make them do things like Zelazny did with the Amber series, which is a shame.
