This bug should be fixed now.
I never managed to figure out something clever for my signature on Paradoxplaza, and I doubt I'll do it here either.

As far as I know no mod has told anyone that someone is abusing this since it apparently has been common knowledge among many of you.

When I last asked jwhitehorn about it he did not accuse his killers of using the infinite arrow bug.

Now I am certain many of you have abused this bug to track down players but I have no way of finding out who, when or what so even if accusations fly that "X killed Y with this bug" I can't do much in this case.

I myself reckon Bait was honest when he told me that PeePooKaka was tracked using the lean-to teleport trick (which was not an exploit, just bending mechanics).

Track claim, teleport to homestead, tracking window stays open...intentional? I think it very well should be intentional, because then you get people like peepookaka living a bazillion miles away from Boston and being completely safe while leaving scents on the east side of the map. Also, it is great for discerning the location of the criminal as you can compare the arrows and pretty much determine where the base is if it is between your homestead and Boston.

Re: Tracking Bug - Use triangulation - no need to track.

In your example - from where are you picking up the initial scent?

It seems to me using triangulation would be the bigger exploit here and not intentional.

1. Pick up a scent at a crime scene - Track to get an initial bearing.
2. Teleport to Boston. Track again to get a second bearing.
3. Teleport to your homestead and track again to get a third an final bearing - allowing you to accurately use triangulation to get a 100% accurate location of your target.

Arrow is wobbly and map is huge, triangulation still leaves a huge area to be explored for the claim.
