I have done so for hours, basically to get rid of some of my earlier chars, to no avail.

In that case, there are some people who have posted here on the forums asking for someone to help "delete" a few of their characters. Seems they get a good amount of responses from helpful players. ;)

House but some people that don't ask for their character to be deleted also get deleted.

Yeah, it's always a risk. However, if one is going to dabble in the dark art of murder, they should accept that they are inviting that sort of karma back on themselves, especially in a world with so much gratuitous killing. I mean, if all players would just sign the treaty and play nice together like good, law-biding citizens, that would be considered world peace; and honestly, what fun would that be? None of us would die, and the world would grow stale. Lucky for us, we have a more interesting crowd here. Even if several of us are total asshats. :D

I'm not one of these people that thinks haven is vastly superior to salem, I'm sad that salem is being temporarily abandoned. But it really is for the best. Seatribe is a 2 man show they need to just stick to 1 project and try to actually complete something (for ***** sake).

Like jorb outlined haven is still more popular and they have full ownership, obviously they should pick that over salem.

I'm REALLY hoping, but also kind of expecting, haven2 to be a bit of a blend between the haven1 and salem. Which means not only that you salem players who hate haven1 might like it, but also that alot of the current haven players are going to shed many tears of rage

They are trying all the time. Just to abandon another half-made project and say "Enjoy it as it is".

Haven's concept may be better than Salem's, and it was developed much more than Salem was, but it's visual outdated even before release, and it's design is ugly.

All that **** happens just because J&L are too proud of themselves to invite professional developers and form a team to make a really awesome hardcore game - not just another "eternal beta-test". I wish Paradox was still here, but these guys are too smart to support such development.

We wouldn't have set Haven aside in the first place if it were not for the fact that we had been given a shot at some of that professional development you recommend so highly. There is no pattern here.

I guess they just don't understand your special way of "hobby development", when 2 devs make work for years. Some people here don't understand it too.

Don't want a publisher? Put your project on KickStarter, get a GreenLight, get money, build up a development team, make a game - not another beta, let players enjoy it while you enjoy your big bucks. This way is too traditional.

Sure. Whatever.
