Can't learn butchery

Hey guys, fairly new to Salem but I used to play HnH back awhile ago.

Have a look at this screenshot and maybe you can help me to understand why I can't currently learn butchery?

According to the game, I need

Hunting & Gathering: 1750
Pots & Pans: 1700
Stocks &Cultivars: 1250

I currently have
Hunting & Gathering: 3410/2480
Pots & Pans: 1893/2520
Stocks &Cultivars: 1350/1820

It seems to me that I should be able to learn the skill, but the buy button is still red...

Your hunting and gathering skill is only 17, which means it can't go higher than 1700 when it comes to buying skills, no matter how high it Seems to be because you chained inspirationals. You need to be able to get 1750. You can see that the color is pink instead of red, which means it still needs to be increased before you can buy that skill. You can also see that the skill itself is still red, meaning you can't learn it until you increase one or more proficiencies. If you have the proficiencies to learn it, it would be yellow. Click on Hunting and Gathering to increase it, and then study inspirationals to learn Butchery.

This seems to be the thing that confuses people the most about the new inspirational system. When you use two of an inspirational, you get penalized with an increase to the total amount of inspiration needed to increase a proficiency, but that seems to make some people think they have higher proficiencies than they have.

I think it's bc I got KO'd the other day. Butchery was unlocked at one point, but I attacked a Turkey and then ran to town and some guys blocked me in while it KO'd me... lol
