oh, c'mon - you go in an open space (even inside the church you should have some in the middle) - drop the canoe. Then you use "carry" to pick it up and the placement-functionality to just place it where you want and in the orientation you want. That takes max. 10 seconds longer.

Why spend 10 seconds longer every time I want to drop a canoe when predictable canoe placement could be implemented? My point is not that there isn't work arounds, my point is it'd be nice if we didn't need them.

How often do you have to place your canoe exactly in a certain spot in a certain orientation per gaming session?

The main issue is that when you drop a canoe in water, it has a chance to land unreasonably far away off in the deep water. Also, that when you drop one in a house, it can land in the walls. Having canoes always land a specific short distance away in the direction the character is facing would be nice.

I pushed Prospecting and Mining at the server beginning and couldn't swim. I went out with the only canoe to look for mines and had it land halfway across a very wide river at one point. Had to have someone else run for like 20 minutes to come rescue it. :/ It would be nice if that didn't happen.
