waste claims or a ram mechanic are required to keep the game from deteriorating into 3am zerg raids, which is why one had to be implemented into haven and why every single game in the history of games utilizing siege warfare as a feature have adopted a spin off of some sort. sure, there are a number of options BETTER than the current waste claim mechanic that could accomplish the same thing but simply eliminating them entirely without substituting another mechanic to prevent 3am zerg raids would simply ***** the game up even more.

Please roll back to around March 2013 so we can still have fun while you're on your little hiatus from Salem.

Yeah, it feels like every/most update(s) made the game worse, isn't that quite an insult to the devs ?

It may be a tad insulting, but I think it would be better to admit their failure than to keep their heads buried in the sand pretending it was progress. The best thing they can do at this point is come to the realization that the past year of updates was a waste of their time. Obviously there are some good things that came out of those updates, like canoes, new items, and tiered ingredients affecting the finished products, but the purity, gluttony and inspirational changes were a flop.

jorb & loftar, it may be hard for you to admit after spending so much time reworking the systems, but they were better before. So, rather than leave us with an unplayable mess while you work on Haven and Hearth, why not revert the failed changes, and let us have fun while you do your thing? Please, sirs.

dont even need to do a whole revert/wipe/map redraw, just make it so seed purities raise up to 100% with following generations like they did before + eliminate purity humus requirement and the effect would be mostly the same.

They need to get rid of the real life timers for me to take this game serious again.

edit: Actually no they would have to wipe for me to take it serious again the map size is just stupid.
edit2: Just make a new server name it Plymouth roll it back to the pre purity ***** up and make the map size the same as what Plymouth was and you will see people play it and enjoy it.

other than Mushi and Darwoth, 90% of the whining on the forums is from the tribe (I don't include vienradzis in the whining group) and the simple fact that jorb said nothing will be done to Salem for the foreseeable future sort of means nothing will be done in the foreseable future, guess its time to buck up or move on.

It's probably because we care so much about the game. The numbers don't lie about this world. Most people left with out saying a thing. The majority of us still play even though the game is in such a sad state.
