I don't think people should openly celebrate their sexual preferences.
They're not celebrating their sexuality, they're celebrating their rights to openly say that they are gay and the change in societies opinion towards the view of their rights.

Not if they are just living their life like you say without disturbing anyone. But it is not always the case.
What exactly do you mean by "disturbing people"? Do you mean them holding hands and kissing in public? Do you mean them just "acting" gay? Or do you mean them simply being open about how they're gay and not hiding it from people?

Disliking blue color is stupid.
Disliking pizza is idiotic.
Disliking foggy weather is dumb.
Disliking traveling is moronic.
Meh.
I'd rather be stupid, than an oblivious self-righteous liberal snob.
Also, I believe I told numerous times, that I don't judge people for their sexual preferences, but exactly for "what they do".
...and what do they "do", exactly? In all cases what they do doesn't affect you in any way.
At the top you're saying preferences about blue, pizza and traveling. You're talking about preferences about things. You can have a preference to not go to hip hop clubs or gay bars or even have a preference against parts of black or gay culture but when you fight against them by trying to discriminate against them based on who they are then that's where you are wrong. Parts of all cultures are wrong and parts of all cultures are right. If you can show a preference against parts of someone's culture without holding discrimination against the individual, then you get the point.
My examples are showing preferences against people based on who they are. You can't say "I hate blacks" but you can say " I hate black thug culture". They are different things and if you're able to separate them in you're mind while understanding the clash of cultures within yourself against another culture then you're understanding where I'm coming from. At that point you can then learn about how your culture is in conflict with that small part of their culture and how that part of their culture was formed.
Eventually you'll be able to say things like "I love jazz and the blues, and early rap, but hip-hop culture was corrupted during the 80's and 90's by the massive rise in crime, drugs and prison population because of Reagan's expansion of the drug war and the breakdown of the "black family" and the rise in teen single-mother pregnancy." My point is that you have to learn why you hate part of their culture.
Another example: "I like that actor but he or she seems overly sexualized just like all American culture. I understand that the liberalization within our culture has revolutionized how people think about sex and their bodies as a reaction and rejection of the conservative and religious mores of the last century but maybe we've become too sexualized as a country a little bit. I'm sure there's a middle ground to it and I can always just not watch them."
I'm assuming you're from Europe so you can say something like this maybe: "I dislike parts of immigrant culture and it seems like they won't assimilate but I like the vibrancy to parts of their culture and their food's tasty. I suppose this is what it looks like when a culture or society changes and I hope we can protect and hang onto the best parts of both cultures to make something new after 3 or 4 generations of changing tides. I suppose we'll call that (French/German/Russian/Swedish/etc...) culture then even though it's changed a little bit."

I'm the least oblivious person you know, I'm not self-righteous because I never think I'm right but I will always compare. You'll see that I've admitted I know nothing many times on this forum. I am a liberal but I'm not a snob.
