That's what all tribe members, tribe-allied criminals and tribe alt accounts say about anything that disadvantage them in their quest to eliminate everybody that isn't their ally.

I'm curious to see how you guys will find people that don't commit crimes, don't pave and don't trust anyone on the forums/ingame with their location.

You needn't waste time looking for clay high purity clay nodes (which are hard to find)... your high purity water (which is easy to find) will make clay of the same purity in your clay trough.

Also.. worms in a compost do very little unless their efficiency is at 100%.. A common earthworm adds 4% efficiency, whereas an Earthworm Python adds 16%. It takes the same effort to feed up a Python as it does a Common worm. 6 Pythons and 1 common will give you 100%.. so don't waste your time and plants feeding up a bunch of common worms.

-Cheers

I would seriously question if high purity water is 'easy' to find... easier, but its not like you will find this within a single day of looking, unless you are lucky.

Worms in compost do as much as the % allows.. they add a certain amount onto the quality of the compost produced. I think its something like a maximum of 10% of the difference in elements.. so a 10 elemental difference(say 35/15/25/25) at 100% would be 1 element modification. (i.e. 26/24/25/25) it might not be these round numbers but it works like that.

So 1 earthworm would give 16% of this which would give 25.16/24.84/25/25)

And tbh never feed up common earthworms.. its the same effort and pretty much a waste of space.

I believe we already have a more or less decent formula on how worms affect humus, in a long lost thread by the brave scientist Hans Lemurson. It was something along the lines of humus = (bin/worm_modifier + worms/bin_modifier*efficiency)/(worm_modifier+bin_modifier*efficiency) or something.
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

It's true that you know how a raider thinks because you're part of the biggest criminal organizations on the server for the moment. Any of you would try to negate methods that don't work in your favor. It's common sense. Theoretically, if all players would read these guides, any current pro, veteran or criminal would be at a big disadvantage and will have to think of new methods to take action if those players are criminals themselves or know how to defend.

Well honestly, I'd trust her when she says stuff like that. Mereni is not really known for trolling people especially when it comes to give advices or knowledge to someone lacking them.

That said...
- If you’re in the wild and a stranger is following you and increases his running speed, it’s a sign that the person might be a criminal. Run away from the person in a straight line, open inventory, Ctrl+ Click all your items from it and travel to Providence using your Adventure->Travel->To Boston menu.

The problem, in my opinion, with running and dropping every **** in your inventory, is that you tend to panic while doing so, when the attacker is perfectly okay with chasing you to death. And really, be panicking while being chased IS the best way to die. You're losing your focus on the path you're taking while checking your inventory, etc. Definitly not recommended for a noob.
I haven't seen that in your guide, but the command :lo is certainly the best way to go away. And I wouldn't log back until being able to have a a look at the situation with a fresh alt. Trespassing scents are not summonable, but if you have to destroy a damn fence to get out, you're probably in deep ****.

And... Adventure, travel, boston menu !? No. Just no. It's either v-e-b (shortcuts), or something like this Image
You are being chased by someone firmly intending to kill you, lewt you, and rape your corpse. You can't afford to lose time :/

- If you’re chased, never click the ground or Ctrl+click the map multiple times as it will slow you down. Also keep in mind that enemies can use the “Follow” command on you and direct them automatically to the shortest path between you and him. It’s more efficient to run in straight lines and/or “path” the enemy (if it’s using the “Follow” command) into trees, rocks or hills.

Hrmmmm. I've never chased anyone or even been "really" chased, but, why the hell would you run in straight line if the ennemy can use follow on you ? And why the hell would you use follow on someone that could run behind a tree ? That'd make you lose time...
But anyway. I do believe that clicking to move is a freaking bad idea while being chased. You're supposed to be a lot more efficient with your keyboard using AWSD while you use your mouse to do whatever else needed. But again, you should not be running and be actually logged off.
I also believe that training all alone with the keyboard is a good thing, just in case of this kind of stuff happens. You can aswell train your running abilities by sending an alt (or your main if you feel like to live dangerously) near Tribe's base. You can even summon Chief or Binks to see how it works/feels, they're cool enough to leave a lot of scents everywhere to be picked and used. The good point is that there's Boston claim right next to them so you're likely to have the time to run back in before being engaged in combat.
See : easy as hell

Also... If you are a random newbie, it's unlikely that someone will drop a freaking pclaim over the place you just logged off. Because it costs money and time, all that for a random dude in noob gear with probably no money on him, ***** this **** really. Unlss you insulted their mother or something they'll just wait a bit a go away. You're not worth it -_- Check it once you're logged off, but don't avoid logging off just because you are afraid of that. Even if you're stucked there, you can still level a new char to deliver this one, or call someone for help.

Last thing... Imo your worst ennemy while being chased is yourself. Don't panic, don't let that adrenaline rush get you, keep calm, think straight and do whatever needs to be done.
Trust your enemies more than your friends. Your enemies will never betray you.

It's counter productive for a member of a criminal band to advise people how to defend themselves from their own methods. Again, common sense.

You can't describe 100% what you should do in tensed moments. I'll describe an example of a situation and how you should deal with it theoretically and I'll update the guide with this shortly:
Firstly, I'll consider that you're using the Latika or Ender client and that you're moving around with your main character.

-If you're in the wild in, lets say, Autumn Forest type of biome (with lots of trees), and you look on your minimap and see a player on the edge of your vision range (the invisible square in which items, animals and players appear around you), you should instinctively try to avoid that person. Since you're most likely foraging in a Autumn Forest biome, you will always keep your eyes on the minimap to see the items you can gather, thus seeing a player on that minimap shouldn't be a problem.

Note: for the next part I'll consider that you can see the surroundings (see where trees are, see where hills are using your minimap etc.) and that you're on an "alert mode" to be ready to run in a straight line away from the target.
-If that player starts following you (you will see that player on your minimap), you should immediately continue the path you where going (the path you choose to use in order to distance yourself from that player), try clicking a place where trees aren't blocking you , activate your Run, open your inventory, CTRL+Click everything from inventory and teleport to Providence.

Now to discuss some "flaws" people will point out:
1. "You expect people to be this fast with their mouse?"
Nope, but as a MOBA and RPG player myself, after practicing this routine with some friends, I've manage to lower some of the panic that I'd normally get, and so did my friends. And I advise people to do the same. If you're solo playing, I can't really give a good advise on how to train yourself without sounding too stupid or too demanding (like trying to use two clients at once and try to run with your alt towards your main.)
2. "Trees can still block you."
Yes and no. I've never seen tree spawns that can completely restrict you in every direction. I've always seen a path that I can use in order to distance myself from the enemy long enough until I can drop all my items on the ground. Maybe it's just me idk. Also note that the criminal is having trouble running to you directly proportional to your trouble getting away from him. Trees will block him from auto-pathing using the Follow command.

Cheena wrote:I haven't seen that in your guide, but the command :lo is certainly the best way to go away. And I wouldn't log back until being able to have a a look at the situation with a fresh alt. That's because I don't advise people to do this. You just said it yourself that it has a very big consequence and i said it too.
The only counter my method has is: if the person is having a firearm and you're running in a straight line and the criminal is at medium range from you, you're vulnerable to that gun. And entering combat mode with someone is very likely gonna get you killed if you don't have more Phlegm that the enemy. But the bullet can be avoided if you can move even one tile to the side. I'll try to test these firearms soon and update the guide if it needs a big note regarding the danger of a firearm while running.

Again I repeat, logging off is a bad choice if the criminal is, for example, a tribe member. They have enough silver to afford using Personal Claims on every alt or main player that hasn't signed the treaty that's currently on the server. If you can afford good alts (with decent biles and proficiencies) to use for different activities while using your main if you know that you can defend your base, then congrats: your main character is at the highest overall safety possible.

You're right. I was explaining what command to use in order to teleport. I assumed that people would hotkey it in case of emergency. I'll update the guide shortly

Running in a straight line away from a user using Run is the fastest way you can go in this game. Tell me how can you outrun someone that goes in a straight line away from you using the same speed as you?

Cheena wrote:But anyway. I do believe that clicking to move is a freaking bad idea while being chased. You're supposed to be a lot more efficient with your keyboard using AWSD while you use your mouse to do whatever else needed.

Your multitask using WASD is more complicated than my advise to be honest...at least for me. If you can get away efficiently using WASD and your CTRL+ mouse to throw away objects then I recommend using it.

I give you a 10/10 for this and will update the guide for people to use this method in order to train themselves

Tell that to the tribe people who kill everything that moves that isn't on their treaty-signed members. I bet they ask every cricket, deer and bear if they signed the treaty. And they are willing to put pc claims and/or cage people with fences so they can kill them. This shows that any criminal can do it if they want to.

That's true. And training yourself to escape is the best thing to overcome those fears and panic moments.

I will join the contention about logging off rather than mucking about doing anything else.

Log off, play an alt to check the area, or make a fresh one and pootle about for about an hour or so, try your main and see if its clear (really better to check with alt though)

IF and its a big IF, you are trapped or pclaimed.. use a fresh alt, have him knock through the fence ensuring to leave his claimed leanto nearby.. Characters are tools, use them and discard them as required. You dont evenhave to invest much time this way as once you have rescued your character, you can build a leanto nearby for the scent to be traced to. (or have another alt do it that you are investing in)

One more thing tho... You can't log back on something that has been (hostily) vclaimed after your logged off. You are forced to respawn on your homestead losing all your inventory. I believe it works the same on a pclaim.
Trust your enemies more than your friends. Your enemies will never betray you.

If a person fences you with any type of fence, you can throw your items on the ground and port home later or the next day.
If the person puts JUST a PClaim, I'm pretty sure you can't port from there to Providence. And If you log in and wanna leave, you will leave trespassing scents...not sure if it works like that tho...need some confirmation.

What if the person cages you with a fence AND a PClaim? You'll require the Waste skill to break the fences which isn't too easy to get early or on a fresh new character...and doing it with your caged character (if it has that skill) will leave scents that can be summonable.
