Sweet, now all you need is a vandel alt to insta kill murderers.

This is the problem with the solution. I knew it was something, thanks rog.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

which means smart murderers will have to build up multiple bases if one of them gets destroyed.

This wouldn't help. You can only have one homestead at a time, and if a homestead gets destroyed while offline, you don't have a chance to replace it. (It also leaves you without a warp point to get back home after inheriting, too.)

Not in this case. Summoning someone without scents is solely done to kill someone. The use of it in any way to move characters is completely unintended and a huge abuse.

While I agree with this, there should be better ways to carry loot from raids, 4 chests in one ride is not near enough ecspecially over deep rivers.

Has the summoning bug been fixed yet? The one where you can be summoned anywhere on your claim? If so taking a claim as a homestead has some pretty annoying negatives.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Easy work around to this, though. You drop one claim where you want the center. You then drop four other claims around it so that they make a +. If you want to extend in a particular direction, you use that claim. It's not a cheap workaround, but it's not really that expensive, either.

yeah, since claims can be right next to each other, you can fully encircle your homestead claim with other claims.

I assume you mean destroying a homestead and then summoning the char to kill them due to lack of HS without needing the murder skill? That could be solved by testing if the player is capable of murder first and if not, teleport the player KO'd. And obviously apply the applicable scent to the summoner so players can't use vandalism as a way of shortening/lessening scent duration/severity. Or am I missing something?
