Collision

Postby Deadeye10 » Sun Apr 06, 2014 4:36 am

It's not a secret that this game has really poor hit boxes and collision, what i'm suggesting is some sort of mechanic that makes your character run around objects to get something, instead of running straight into a tree.
And if the devs could fix the hit boxes so you aren't getting stuck on an invisible wall that would be great.
:D
P.S. Sorry if this was already suggested I didn't find it in any searches.

I agree some of the hitboxes could use some tweaking, but I assumed the run into a tree thing was to help prevent bots.

I don't know about bots, but the devs seem to think the lack of any kind of pathing is part of the game's 'charm'. It's certainly fairly important when it comes to combat.

I heartily agree that hitboxes should be shaped like the structures rather than just being approximate squares. Considering how many games manage to have realistic hit boxes on everything, it can't be That difficult.

Yes for the sake of combat and running cross country, pathing should not be automatic. But hitboxes should match, getting stuck on the invisible walls is always annoying as all hell xD

Oh, well that would make sense. But for the hitboxes that is probably one of the worst things about the game.
