New Corn Inspirationals and Earls of Corn

Postby NightBreed » Wed Mar 26, 2014 7:57 am

We got some Lovecraft in Salem already - it may be nice to see some King too.

While we're waiting for corn to be returned to the game, some corn inpirationals may be added with it. Just some examples:

- "He Who Walks Behind The Rows" mask;

- Earl of Gatlin - ramdomly obtained when harvesting corn;

- some other random inspirationals.

Getting corn earls instead of seeds of corn on harvest - just as it made for cereals - looks more natural.

Popularity/Success =/= quality

If you want to discuss this further, I could move it, but this isn't really the place for it

If a corn has own bar to the fields ,maybe then this idea will be good.
But corn has a same bar as cereal.
i can tell same with pumpkin ,like you gathering and getting interesting insp like it can be with cabbage)
btw.
I don't like your names.
I think better name of this insp will be '' Zea saccharáta" means like sugar corn or maize)

Madness
I would change everything in places, but to madness, I do not have enough strength

Its not a question of good or not, well kind of it is. It's more that the subtle but building insanity and complexity of Lovecraft lends itself well to Salem while King's blunt here's a child/clown/dog/etc that is going to eat you face fits less so.

However children of the corn is actually one of the rare cases where King might work for this game but I hope/doubt we will ever see a reference to King.

On a side note I just realized the devs probably picked Providence as a Lovecraft reference.
