Elder Scrolls Online has Launched

So, ESO's live. Anybody else playing? It's pretty amazingly beautiful.

No permadeath but the PvP is pretty epic with real penalties for dying (armor/weapon degradation, skill loss, no local reincarnation without soul gems).

The Skill tree and Crafting system is nuts. Thousands of craftables and hundreds of skill tree choices.

As the river rolled over the cliffs, my own laughing joy was drowned out by the roaring deluge of the water. The great cataract of Darwoth's Tears fell over and over endlessly.

Played throughout beta, hoping that this would polish into something epic, it didn't.

It's repetitive (more so than many other MMO's and that is saying something), overly complex for no real return, limited to gimp players to the lowest common denominator and joins the rest of the MMO's in the 'race to the bottom' of multiplayer retardedness.

saying that, if you havent played it, and you are a fan of elder scrolls.. 30 days is all I would recommend playing.. book a little time off to explore it a bit.. but if you pay the subscription.. then more fool you. This will be Free to play before or on this time next year.. save it til then.

Played beta a bit. Nothing special, but at least way better than SWTOR, which is, however, no huge achievement, since pretty much anything is better than SWTOR.
I expect it won't stay P2P for long, it has some interisting moments here and there, like a quest where you are supposed to seek a treasure by deciphering a note with directions, but all in all - meh.
