homestead doesn't work!?

my homestead doesn't work right now, and my homestead pointer disappeared... despite i am standing in my lean-to i cannot travel to boston, because it's said that i need to be at my homestead...
what's the problem with that? was it broke by somebody?

Just to be sure, you do have your leanto set as your homestead, i.e. the little paper is attached to it?
