How to teleport to your homestead with item in inventory?

Postby wilkuf » Fri Mar 14, 2014 7:50 am

Hi, I'am just wondering, can't figure it out and cant find any answers - how the hell doese this mechanic work in this game. ? ..Rigth now I have ony my self-build leanto, and if I want to port back to it with someting in my inventory - it prompts me that it must be empty if I want to do so. Do I need to have a stake claim? If so - then how can I place it -since I need a writ of homesteadig - witch i suppose is an INVENTORY item ...can someone please explain how this works?

You cant port back to your leanto/homested with items in your inventory from the wilderness. It has to be in the boundaries of providence ( main town) to teleport back with items and vice versa to providence from your leanto.

It's a mechanic to stop raiders walking accross the map and robbing all your **** and then just POP teleporting back home with all your stolen goods... in theory at any rate

you can if the item is in one of your pocket slots (this might be an oversight, and at least such was the case in the previous world). I like to think of this as a feature, and not a bug :)
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Thank you very much for explaining ..that was actualy my second thought after I wrote this post, but I couldn't write anything from my office ..that was the only possible, logical explanation - just wasn't sure if it was implemented that way ..now rest assured :)

Pockets are an artifact you can slot into your clothes. They're all pretty difficult to make and slot so you probably won't be able to get one until you're fairly well established. you'll see the recipes for them open up when you get the different clothing making skills.
