To me the common sense, after reading the announcement, was that no matter how many braziers you have, and where, they always deal the base damage in total. So I was going to build a couple of those in some areas where they could be easily defended (like between wall and the mine/house), without worrying too much how much space is left between them. And I could seriously nerf my defences in this way.

It's more that the update wasn't as simple as one brazier in each area for defense. You still need to build some braziers everywhere - you just don't need to ensure 15 hit each tile.

trial by fire means they wont trigger tho right? so thats the only way people are going to siege. Which I think is probably a good thing, because it means pvp is more important than raiding at 5 am or building tons of walls/braziers.

What is peoples problem with new brazier system anyway? I like it. siege currently looks good to me, as long as this trial by fire thing works properly.

whether new siege system stays good ultimately depends on how high people can get thier humours longterm this world, and I have no idea.

Banok, you are awesome! Thank you!!!! We owe you a debt of gratitude for your willingness to commit resources and share your results :)

Did you found any way to fire 2xbase dmg on raider?

Trial by fire didn't solved 5am raids!!! It just announces that raid is going to be at 5am.

You can't change the fact that it is an international community and people will raid at different times. It's not a problem to be solved any more than has been. This is the major downside to games like this.

"Oh, excuse me, Mr. Raider, sir. Could you be so kind as to come back at around 1800 GMT so as we might have a proper go at it?"

"Why certainly, kind sir. I was really doing this so that we might engage in some sporting combat, and not just rob you blind."

Question is does Salem is going to be more pvp or rob&run game.

I want to remove one brazier but could only get it to 51%.

How much bile one must have to be able to destroy a brazier?

If Trial by Fire disables braziers, what's even the point of building them? If you have a town claim they need to build a Trial anyway.

Hmm 40BB from single brazier... I can design my town to get 120BB per shot for important areas :]

How does pclaims are working right now... Jorb said if brazier is on personal claim and criminal is bashing wall (that is on town claim) brazier is not triggered.
But what if brazier is on town claim and criminal is bashing wall on personal claim (overlapped by town claim)?

You can't, as it always will be 40BB per shot or less. As you can have max dmg of 40BB per one brazier in 23 tiles, and your idea needs to have 4 braziers overlapping with 40 dmg, which is impossible.
