Sorry, little sausage, but you don't know what you talking about. First try to do meaningful stuff with your alchemists pack, and - as soon as you notice, that it is almost impossible/blows your stuff up to tiny shreds - come back later.

Hey Jorb,

Just want to let you know I love you too.

I was excited for the world wipe, ready to start on a level field without legacy nonsense, etc. When I logged in and found the new content I was floored. Given the updates the game had received for the last year I thought you had written Salem off. To see you and Loftar had put a CONSIDERABLE effort into this game, a game with ~50 players, well it was a delight.

When I saw that birch tree next to my random wilderness spawn and right clicked that sucker to see take bark as on option: that was the moment I knew we were in for a treat. Firing my clay pot in my first firepit, boiling the bark and realizing I had tanning fluid in the pot. It was wonderful. I know I am not alone in saying the spark of excitement and discovery has been intoxicating in these last 3 weeks.

You and Loftar are artists and your game is a revelation. It is not for everyone, but it certainly is for me.

And for that I thank you.

You have an amazing abundance of systems of the PAST that have been ignored and, thus, left the game half-broken for years now (purity). We would much rather you implemented ONE thing that is fully fleshed out, well designed, and meaningful than 10 more things that give you the opportunity to "flesh them out" in the future only for ADD to set in and you to move on to some other unfinished system we never asked for or wanted.

First of all you are an ungrateful, spoiled child, and I have no intention to work for your pleasure what-so-ever, and to the extent that you derive any it is entirely incidental to my future actions.

Secondly, all the systems you mentioned grow and expand all the time -- just recently we added more artifice, for example -- and what you are dissatisfied with is simply the development pace. This is a common complaint from many of the ungrateful, spoiled children who play our games, because for some reason the fact that we are only two people building at least two complex MMOs of rather enormous scope never quite seems to sink in or fully register. Fortunately, no single ***** is given by any single dev, because ungrateful, dissatisfied end-users really are a dime-a-dozen. You can point to a thousand things that we did not do -- I can point to a million -- but have you ever considered pointing at some of the things we did do? How dare you complain that "willows are useless!" when you have never once said "thank you for making willows!"?

They are not useless. They make the world exactly one blip more colorful and varied.

I, for my part, wish to remain flexible. I do not wish to tie myself down and brute force simple content implementations to systems that I do not feel inspired to work on, but rather I believe firmly in opening up many avenues of development experimentally, and try to explore them as it feels meaningful, fruitful and fun to do so. These games will never be "finished", so why should I feel any compulsion to rush for a goal I know to be non-existent?

Why no alchemy? Because we do not know what to do about it. Very simple.

Why no this, that or the other? Because you got something else instead.

Maybe that is not what you wish, but, quite frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.

-------------------------------------

I am immensely grateful that anyone plays our games at all, I am humbled by every login, I love you all dearly, and you owe me nothing.

Goodnight.

Yeah, I'll just play another game where devs dont f up their customers. Now I understand why only 500 ppl play this one. This is ok when you donate things that dont work. Skills that not working, poison which is removable only through donate at early stages, plenty of uncraftable items, etc. Pls donate wow.

I know an alchemist that did very impressive things with it prewipe, and I'm sure once he get setup it will be even more impressive not that there is no legacy ****, it is hard and very time consuming but its probably meant to be. Maybe you just don't know what you are doing.

So Alchemy really is broken  i always taught it was finish because it seem that you can do alot of great stuff with it. I actually kind of like it at the moment can't wait to get sliver to buy the equipment.
