I have no desire or intention to interrupt legitimate ***** in this thread, but as someone who has said nasty things about the devs in the past, I really do feel bad for everyone in this situation, but especially jorb and loftar. I wish everyone well as they weather this storm.

My motivation to play was really sapped when I first read that the woo-woo wand was still bugged at the start of this map (which I learned after the ninja-fix) and that there were probably lots of high purity mines already being mined. Of course, I missed out on exploiting the bug.

Hang in there jorbtar.

What would have been the alternative? How would one distinguish between "legit" and "non-legit" mines?

Low purity is obviously legit, since you can find those either way.

Simple fix to simple problem.

Make it so that the elemental value of the boiled food is a determined factor of all the items involved.

The water
The Pot
MOST IMPORTANTLY, the Precooked food value <-- shocking this + water plays no part in it.

Fix the real problem.

Why are mushrooms not effected ?

Then high end copper mines would be of total less importance.
Retribution ~ Death comes to those who wait.

you are missing the point entirely.

if you fixed the bug the mines are not an issue.

if you did not fix the bug and this was your bandaid "fix" the exact same problem will surface in a matter of days.

pretty sure the reality is that you erroneously figured that almost everyone with a high level mine were the same people looking for copper to make food, thus you wanted to additionally break it off in their ass by nerfing existing mines, trouble is you **** on everyone else as well.

Jorb: In the name of the Holy English Inqusition,
I sentence this server to mine fix
and declare TOTAL NERF!

The bugged mines were wallowed in heresy
the ore now is full of filth
for us it is lost and now it is incurable
It will be cleared in the name of Province

"We have chosen a path and we must go and I will lead us"

TOTAL NERF - let the tears flow!
Defiled mines will be destroyed
TOTAL NERF - pray about mine
"I do what must be done"

Cities will disappear in a seas of cries
Fix will destroy the creatures of darkness
We will dry up the ground of defect to the bottom
Holy Fix will help us

"I was not able to save the innocent mines, Players forgive me"

TOTAL NERF - let the tears flow!
Defiled mines will be destroyed
TOTAL NERF - pray about mine
"I do what must be done"

so you did not actually fix the bug of the food taking on the value of the pot?

The food taking on some of the pot's alchemy was always intended, the amount was too much for several of them, and that bug should be fixed.

Some sort of fairness concern, I guess.

If the problem is they are finding mines that are too high purity nerf the high purity mines, not the ones that could have been found with normal rod, yeah some people will still have legit mines ***** but its better than ***** everyones mines back to 0.

We just established that there are no titans, though.
